Ashland

Southern Boone County Historical Society Collection

The hack, or bus, in 1904 between Columbia and Ashland. The fare was 50 cents one way and 75 cents roundtrip. The man in the picture is a Mr. Christian, the driver. The picture was taken near the Uptown Theater in Columbia.
