Americans and the Holocaust Exhibit
Daniel Fitzpatrick illustrates the rising tide of totalitarianism in Europe. Earlier in March of 1933, the National Socialist Party, led by Adolph Hitler, was elected to lead Germany. Following this, the Reichstag, flooded with Stormtroopers and banning political dissidents from voting, approved the Ermächtigungsgesetz, a sweeping legal allowance for Hitler to decree new laws. ;Daniel Fitzpatrick Collection,F582 1933-03-26.
