Features is a list of tax supported libraries in Missouri, including Boone County. At the time, Pearl Clarkson was the library director and the library was housed in city hall (the Municipal Building). The population of Columbia in 1930 was 14,967. The total number of books was 11,240 and the number of "borrowers", i.e. library patrons was 5,162. Hours opened per week was 75 hours and the total budget was $8,338.
