Letter from Sam Walton

In 1990 Marilyn McLeod, who would later become head of the reference department at the Columbia Public Library, sent a copy of the 1940 University of Missouri Savitar to Sam Walton, the founder of the Wal-Mart store chain. The letter is one of gratitude from Mr. Walton as he was a graduate of the 1940 Mizzou class and also class president that year.
