Memo to Parents
A memo to the parents of students at the Midway Heights C-7 school. Memorandum to Parents of C#7 School District I. Transportation
- Buses will travel on designated routes on a timely schedule to pick up high school and elementary pupils. Board will change routes whenever it seems necessary.
- Buses will not wait for child, if not in sight, when it arrives at loading point.
- No high school student shall keep bus waiting in afternoon. If they are to be late, transportation should be arranged with parents.
- Behavior on bus shall be as in classroom. Second reminder of misbehavior shall be made to principal (high school or elementary) and parents will be notified.
- High school students are asked to help driver in assisting elementary pupils.
II. Health
- Parents are to make health check of child each morning. No child with contagious disease or transmittable sickness shall be permitted to attend school without physicians written permission.
- Any child that gets sick at school shall be called for by parents. If physician is called to school for child parents are to pay for his services.
- Parents are asked to have children participate in any health program or activity at school
III. Clothing
- Girls shall not be attired in shorts or blue jeans in classroom. Jeans or similar clothing may be worn on buses or playground.
- Lipstick or comparable cosmetics may be used only by 7th and 8th grade girls, with parents written permission.
- Shoes that mar asphalt floors will be discouraged (shoes with protruding nails, soft black rubber soles and heels.)
IV. School Hours Activities (P.T.A. etc.)
- Teachers shall have same authority over school children at any activity or after hour meetings as in classroom.
- No children shall remain outside building at night activities unless supervised by parents or teachers.
